![]() Blazer-X is a 1999 Chevrolet 2-Door Tahoe. The original Chevy Blazer was renamed "Tahoe" in 1996 for reasons unknown (my guess: sheer stupidity), while the S-10 Blazer, or "S-Blazer" retained the name Blazer. At any rate, Blazer-X is indeed a Blazer, and the last one as well. For 1999 marks the end of the production of the Chevy Full-size 2-door Blazer. 30 Years. 1969-1999. |
![]() Body mods include: shaved tailgate handle, molded-in roll pan, shaved 3rd brake light and roof rack, smoothie rear window, billet grille, custom-pained grille shell, billet antenna, custom front bumper with frenched-in fog lights. |

![]() A full-custom interior was incorporated into Blazer-X. Black, grey, and white Symphony (a high-quality processed leather) was used front to rear over the door panels, seats, center console, and rear deck. There is not a single thread of tweed in this ride. Additionally, a custom black carpet kit was installed and the the dash was dyed black in various spots for a two-tone grey/black look. Billet accessories adourn the interior as well, including a Billet Specialties Sniper steering wheel, billet pedals, dash kit, sill plates, and window cranks. |
![]() A full-stealth audio system lurks within the Blazer-X's ocean of Symphony. A Kenwood Excelon KRC-X858 (w/ remote) and 10-Disc CD changer provide the source, while an MTX crossover and Precision Power amps provide power to the MB Quart and JL Audio speakers. The rear deck features dual 15" JL's in a custom Symphony-covered enclosure. Almost 1,000 watts of juice, and only the head unit, subs, and front speakers are visible. |

![]() Blazer-X rides low, and an adjustable suspension was needed to bring the frame-laying chassis off the pavement. A full air ride was installed, with 3 compressors, 2 5-gallon air tanks, a 9-switch/8-solenoid valve manifold setup, and 4 billet manual valves (installed in the center console). The suspension was also modified with Toxic shocks, 2" drop spindles, a rear flip kit, flipped hangers, removed leafs, and a step notch. The rear wheel wells were re-tubbed to accomodate the 20" Arelli Assassyns lurking underneath. The rear deck sports a Symphony-covered removable panel to access the rear suspension components. |
![]() Blazer-X sports a set of Arelli Assassyns, a uniquely-designed rim that somewhat resembles a shuriken (ninja throwing star). 18" Assassyns were used up front, while massive 20" rims were used in the rear. Top it off with 40-series low-profile Michelins, and you have one bad-ass set of wheels. |

![]() While Blazer-X is constantly evolving, there are many other mods that have been done. The gas tank was tucked up 3" to clear the ground-scraping stance. The exhaust system was upgraded to an Airaid intake/Flowmaster muffler setup with a big chrome tip to allow the 350 Vortec V8 engine to breathe. Additionally, the inside front fenders were removed to accomodate the front wheels and billet accessories were installed under the hood. |
